Desai & Diwanji continues to strengthen its Mergers and Acquisitions practice, advising on a whopping Rs. 3,748 crore ($781 million) deal. Desai and Diwanji advised French pharma major Sanofi Pasteur in their acquisition of Hyderabad based Shanta Biotechnics.
Sanofi Pasteur acquired Merieux Alliance's French subsidiary, ShanH, which has a 78 percent stake in Shanta Biotechnics. The Desai & Diwanji team comprising Devika Cariappa and Ketaki Gaur were led by Partner Apurva Diwanji.
