However, in the year 2015, 2nd January falls on Friday, which is followed by two holidays i.e. 3rd and 4th January, being Saturday and Sunday respectively.You are requested to kindly consider changing the reopening day for the Supreme Court of India from 2nd January to Monday, 5th January, 2015 as the official calendar for the Supreme Court of India has not been published so far.”.Further, citing changes in the weather conditions in the recent years, a request has been made to change the winter vacation of the Supreme Court so as to coincide with the winter break of the schools in Delhi..The letter states that,.“You may also note that the winter vacations for all schools in the National Capital Territory has also been changed in the recent years on account of the change in weather conditions and bitter winter, which now falls in January. All schools now reopen after winter break only after 10th January, so as to save the children from bitterness of extreme winter. We also request you to consider changing winter vacation for future year for Supreme Court so as to coincide with school vacations and change in weather pattern.”.Earlier this week, the SCBA had voted in favour of a resolution capping the period for which a member can hold a post in the SCBA to four years.
