ALMT Legal, Bangalore acts on Taurus Armas and Jindal Group JV to produce Guns in India
Brazilian gunmaker Taurus Armas SA, one of the largest small arms manufacturers in the world, has signed a joint venture with Indian steelmaker Jindal Group to produce guns in India.
ALMT Legal, Bangalore advised Brazilian company Taurus Armas and the team was led by Partner Rajat Bopaiah along with Associates Aman Singh Poras, Natasha Ponnappa and Ann Alexander.
Taurus was also advised by its in-house counsel Neandro Lazaron and Brazilian law firm Nasser Sociedade de Advogados.
Jindal Group was advised by its in-house legal team led by Navneet Raghuvanshi.
The joint venture agreement was signed during Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro visit to India at the first Brazil-India Defence industry dialogue of the India-Brazil Business Forum (IBBF), organised by the Ministry of External Affairs.
