Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas opens new office in GIFT City, Gujarat

The new office will be headed by Managing Partners Cyril Shroff, and Partners Paridhi Adani, and L Viswanathan.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) has opened a new office in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar.

Speaking on the development in a press release, Managing Partner of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Cyril Shroff said,

“We are seeing great potential for the companies setting up their offices at the GIFT City. We are quite excited to be part of this big change. Given our experience in Financial and IT/ITes sectors, we will be able to assist companies in setting up their operations in the GIFT City and cater to their future legal and regulatory requirements.”

Partner & Head of the firm's Ahmedabad office Paridhi Adani added,

“We are delighted with our new office in the GIFT City. The decision to have our presence in the GIFT City was a logical step in our growth strategy.”

The new office will be headed by Shroff, Adani, and Partner & Chair of Finance, Banking & Insolvency L Viswanathan.

GIFT City is a hub for financial services and IT/ITes companies set up to attract foreign investors and substantial offshore business with its proactive rules, competitive tax regime and simple legal system. CAM aims to assist companies in the GIFT City in navigating through legal and regulatory framework.

In 2017, J Sagar Associates became the first Indian law firm to open an office at GIFT City.

CAM also recently opened an Singapore Representative Office (RO).

With this, CAM will have six offices in India, an RO in Singapore and an office in GIFT City, which is an international financial services centre (IFSC) (technically a foreign territory).

The firm already has presence in Gujarat, with over 45 lawyers including 6 Partners working at the Ahmedabad office.
