While both firms will maintain their operational independence, they will operate as a unified front.

Full-service Indian law firm Legalics and BMore, a Lisbon-based law firm, have announced a strategic ‘best friends’ relationship.

The alliance is designed to optimise cross-border legal capabilities and client access to legal and regulatory advice across India and Portugal.

While both firms will maintain their operational independence, they will operate as a unified front.

Legalics’ clients will gain on-the-ground legal support and local market expertise in Portugal through BMore. Similarly, BMore will leverage Legalics’ capabilities to guide Portuguese and international clients seeking to navigate, enter or scale within the Indian market.

During her recent visit to New Delhi, Luisa Braz, Managing Partner of BMore, met with the leadership team at Legalics to formalise and advance the alliance. As part of her broader engagement in India, she also met with the Commerce Secretary to explore avenues to enhance bilateral trade, facilitate cross-border investments and foster greater collaboration between businesses in both jurisdictions.

Speaking on the tie-up, she said,

We believe that the best legal partnerships are built on shared values and a commitment to our clients' growth. By joining forces with Legalics, we are opening a door for our clients to one of the world’s most dynamic economies. This ‘Best Friends’ alliance is a milestone that allows us to provide a truly global perspective with a local touch.”

On the alliance, Managing Partner of Legalics Mahesh Kumar stated,

“As Indian businesses increasingly look toward Europe for expansion and investment, our clients require agile, deeply rooted local counsel in Europe. BMore shares our commitment to excellence and commercial pragmatism. Together, we are uniquely positioned to facilitate seamless cross-border transactions for our clients.”
