Juris Corp boosts its litigation practice with lateral hire from Hariani

Ranjit Shetty, former Partner at Hariani & Co. has joined the Mumbai office of Juris Corp with effect from April 1, 2012. Ranjit has joined as Partner and will co-head the litigation and dispute resolution practice of the firm.

Ranjit Shetty, former Partner at Hariani & Co. has joined the Mumbai office of Juris Corp with effect from April 1, 2012. Ranjit has joined as Partner and will co-head the litigation and dispute resolution practice of the firm.

Ranjit has around 14 years of litigation experience and will further boost the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution practice. He is a graduate from the University of Mumbai.

Ranjit said, “I am delighted to help take the firm’s dispute resolution practice forward and look forward to the additional responsibilities and challenges that await for me”.

He was heading the dispute resolution practice in Hariani & Co. for four years. Before joining Hariani, Ranjit was working at PDS Legal.

Ranjit has a strong background in arbitration and litigation relating to real estate, commercial matters, government tenders and challenge to legislation. He has substantial experience in civil and criminal litigation, writ petitions, testamentary disputes and contentious trust matters. He has also advised clients on acquisition of properties (Real Estate) and Commercial Transactions.

Senior Partner Mustafa Motiwala said, “Ranjit will certainly bring more value-add to the firm’s significant Dispute Resolution practice”.

Recently, former FoxMandal Partner Sandeep Kumar Mahapatra had joined Juris Corp as a Partner in its Delhi office. Sandeep handles the dispute resolution practice in Delhi.
