Gauri Rasgotra, Khaitan’s New Delhi Litigation Partner, has returned to their Delhi office after a stint in George Washington University’s Law School where she headed the India Studies Centre.

She was appointed as Partner in 2004 and stayed on until 2006, when she left on a sabbatical to George Washington University. Rasgothra was the Director of the “India Project” program at GWU Law School. The program was conceived in an attempt to understand and improve Indian legal systems.

A graduate of AP Shah Law College, Gujarat, her focus areas are Constitutional law, Environmental law, Infrastructure law, Corporate law, Arbitration law and Intellectual Property Rights. Says Rabindra Jhunjhunwala, Partner at Khaitan, “We are delighted to have her back with us. With her joining, our already strong litigation practice will get a boost and more strength.”

In her article for the Indian Express, she writes, “I take my dreams back to my country and I know that I will realise them in India. Where dreams are big, there is no place like home.”
