A Patna court on Tuesday granted YouTuber and educator Faizal Khan, famously known as Khan Sir, interim protection from arrest in connection with a firing incident that happened outside his coaching institute [Khan Sir alias Faizal Khan v. State of Bihar].

Advocate Arvind Kumar Mavvar, representing Khan, reportedly said that the trial court has called for the case diary and previous criminal records. The court said that the police would be free to question Khan.

The matter will be heard on June 10.

Khan had filed an anticipatory bail application after a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against him.

As per a report, a violent altercation involving firearms erupted outside the Khan's coaching institute against a rival institute.

A group of around 15-20 people had allegedly gathered outside Khan’s coaching institute in Patna’s Musallahpur Hat area and brutally beat up one of coaching institute’s guards. Later, Khan’s bodyguards were seen firing guns in the air. The bodyguards were subsequently arrested.

Raushan Anand, the rival coaching institute owner, and two others were also arrested after Khan had alleged that they orchestrated the attack on his coaching institute.
