The Centre for Alternate Dispute Resolution (CADR), Jindal Global Law School is hosting the fifth lecture of the CADR Guest Lecture series.

The distinguished public lecture is being delivered by Professor Franco Ferrari, Director, Center for Transnational Litigation, Arbitration and Commercial Law, NYU School Of Law on “Relevance of “The Seat” For International Commercial Arbitrations”.

Franco Ferrari, who joined the NYU School of Law full-time faculty in Fall 2010, was most recently a chaired professor of international law at Verona University in Italy (2002-2016). Previously, he was a chaired professor of comparative law at Tilburg University in the Netherlands (1995-1998) and the University of Bologna in Italy (1998-2002).

Ferrari also acts as an international arbitrator both in international commercial arbitrations and investment arbitrations. In 2019, Ferrari was awarded an honorary doctorate degree from the National and Kapodistrian University in Athens for his contributions to the unification of law.
