Jindal Global Law School was adjudged winner of National round of the IBA ICC Moot Court Competition.

Jindal Global Law School was represented by a team consisting of Sarbesh Chaudhury, Aryan Mehta, Siddhant Tokas, Aditya Kumar and Shourya Mitra.

The team qualified to the top 3 teams and participated in the final rounds, which were judged by Senior Advocates Siddharth Luthra and Vrinda Grover.

The intermediary rounds were judged by eminent legal practitioners of the ICJ, ICC and Supreme Court of India. The team was finally adjudged as the Winners on 27th March 2021, after a rigorous 3 day competition.

After 6 months of hard work, it was an exhilarating experience representing the college in the national rounds. We are looking forward to representing the college and the country in the global rounds of the moot.” said Shourya, on behalf of the team about their win.

Speaking to an Apprentice Lawyer, the team said, “ The unique format of the said moot makes it challenging but equally exhilarating. Preparing for the moot has seasoned us for our future legal careers by giving us a global view of the material issues surrounding International Criminal Law. It was a euphoric moment, when our names were announced. Winning the India rounds not only made all the hours put in worthwhile but extended to us an enriching experience that taught us critical skills. This, however, is just half the battle won. It is an honour representing our college at the world stage and we shall give it our very best."
