Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.

This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.

In this edition, we speak with Anany Vikram Singh, a second-year law student at the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam.

(Edited excerpts)

Why did you choose to study law?

I have always had a proclivity towards the field of law and journalism. It is a known fact that if you have adept knowledge of the laws and regulations of the land you reside in, you will surely become a prudential and a courteous citizen of the country.

I firmly aspire to serve the people of my country with my profound legal astuteness and this is exactly the reason why I chose law as my subject of pursuance.

What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?

From a long time, I have had the keen inclination towards sensitising and spreading legal awareness to the people. The field of legal journalism has always fascinated me and given the profound recognition of Bar and Bench in the field of legal journalism, I felt it was a fantastic opportunity for me to seize.

What are your plans after completing law?

As of now, I have kept all the viable options open for myself. However, the prime objective remains to be serving the nation and becoming a prudent citizen of the country.

It would be an honour for me if I get ample opportunities to provide help to the poor and needy, with whatever legal knowledge I possess, in future.
