Know your Campus Ambassador: Raja Kumar, CUSB

Raja is a second-year law student at the Central University of South Bihar

Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.

This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.

In this edition, we speak with Raja Kumar, a second-year law student at the Central University of South Bihar (Gaya), Patna.

(Edited excerpts)

Why did you choose to study law?

This dates back to my twelfth class when was looking for what to do. I am from a family where no one has done higher studies and neither has anyone suggested to me what I should do.

One day I was searching for career options on Google (what else could I do?) when I came to know about the B.A.LL.B as a career option and I felt that this is the only thing that I can do.

So after that, a village boy walked into the law field.

What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?

I was following Bar & Bench to update my knowledge in legal news, and I came to know that there is a program for campus ambassadors.

So, I think that why not I should contribute to this and also this will enhance my skill and give me a chance to learn from different people.

What are your plans after completing law?

I am not pessimistic about life but believe in realism. I think that life is full of unexpected things. And after 4th year of my course I will decide what I should do now.
