About The Course

The Internship and Placement Committee at Dr. RMLNLU is organizing an Online Course on Drafting and Negotiating Commercial Contracts by Mr Bhumesh Verma, as a part of its flagship event, Manthan 6.0. Effective contract negotiation is a crucial part of any business and hence this course will revolve around the craft of drafting practical, readable, non-ambiguous contracts, which is a valuable skill for everyone. This course will focus on:

1. Major Do’s and Don’ts of contract drafting

2. Expectations of a client

3. Strategies to be adopted for flawless drafting

4. Prototyping Templates

This detailed course stretches for 10 hours and will be spread across 4 sessions over the course of 4 days.

Date and time of the course: 4th and 5th March (5.00 PM - 8.00 PM), 6th and 7th March (11.00 AM - 1.00 PM)

About the instructor

Bhumesh Verma is the Managing Partner of Corp Comm Legal, an independent Indian law firm headquartered in New Delhi. Having started his career at Ajay Bahl & Co. (now part of AZB & Partners), Mr. Bhumesh went on to become a partner at some of the leading Indian law firms in India. He received the coveted Chevening Scholarship by the UK Government in 2000 where he studied in College of Law, York and was a visiting lawyer with Ashursts’ London office.

With over two decades of experience, Mr. Bhumesh is one of the leading Indian senior corporate practitioners (consistently ranked in the ‘A List’ of the Top 100 Indian Lawyers by India Business Law Journal). His expertise areas are advising domestic and foreign clients on inbound and outbound mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures, technical collaborations, external commercial borrowings, corporate structuring, strategic advice, regulatory approvals, corporate advisory, due diligence and related fields.

He has also authored 2 books on the Drafting of Commercial Contracts-“Practical Guide to Drafting Commercial Contracts” and “Mergers and Acquisitions.”

Eligibility

Anyone who is interested in the topic can attend this course. However, it is to be noted that No e-certificates shall be provided for the same.
