Senior advocate Deepinder Singh Patwalia to be the new Advocate General of Punjab

The new appointment comes in place of Senior Advocate Atul Nanda who resigned shortly after change in the State's leadership.

Senior advocate Deepinder Singh Patwalia has been appointed the new Advocate General of Punjab in place of Senior Advocate Atul Nanda.

Patiawala is the son of a former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Kuldip Singh and has mainly practiced in constitutional, service and criminal matters.

Patwalia was designated as a senior advocate by the Punjab and Haryana high court in 2014.

Nanda resigned shortly after former Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh stepped down.
