District Mobile Magistrate in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore tests COVID-19 positive, advised to go into quarantine with family

The District Mobile Magistrate in Kashmir's Sopore region has tested COVID-19 positive along with family including his wife and two minor children, it was informed on Saturday..As per the order issued by the office of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Baramullah, the officer has been advised to go for quarantine along with the family, and directed to follow all the COVID-19 protocols along with SOPs as advised by the Health Ministry.."As reported by learned additional District and Sessions Judge Sopore, that District Mobile Magistrate Sopore has tested COVID-19 Positive along with the family (wife and two minor children) and has been advised to go for quarantine along with the family. The officer is directed to follow all the COVID-19 protocol along with SOPs as advised from time to time by health department/Ministry", the order reads..In view of this development, the Munsiff/JMIC Dangiwacha has been directed to look after the routine work of the Court of Munsiff/District Mobile Magistrate, Sopore till the officer resumes his duties after turning COVID-19 negative..The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has 7,260 active positive cases till date as per the information disclosed by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), J&K on Friday..The government of Jammu and Kashmir recently issued the classification of districts in J&K as red, orange and green zones (depending on number of COVID-19 cases). All the districts of the Kashmir province, except Bandipora District, fall in red zones. One District, namely Ramban, comes under the red zone in the Jammu province..However, the High Courts and subordinate courts located in ‘Red Zones’ in Jammu and Kashmir will continue to hear the cases through virtual mode till August 15, in view of Chief Justice Gita Mittal's directions issued on August 3.
