Minority scholarship for Muslims, Christians: Supreme Court issues notice in plea against Kerala HC quashing order

In May this year, the High Court had annulled a move to grant merit-cum-means scholarship at 80 per cent to the Muslim community and 20 per cent to the Latin Catholic Christians and Converted Christians.

The Supreme Court on Friday issued notice in a plea challenging a Kerala High Court order which had quashed the State government's move to introduce minority scholarships for Muslim and Christian students in the ratio 80:20 (State of Kerala v. Justine Pallivathukkal).
