The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has called off the General Body meeting which was scheduled for May 7 to discuss the non-elevation of Justice KM Joseph to Supreme Court..A resolution passed by the Executive Committee (EC) of the SCBA states that the General Body meeting has been withdrawn “in view of the fact that the Collegium is reconsidering the case of Justice KM Joseph and has unanimously deferred the consideration of his case”..The General Body meeting was also slated to discuss the removal of Vikas Singh from the post of SCBA President. The same has also been withdrawn as the “EC feels that it needs to work as a team and accordingly the internal dispute, if any, will be sorted out by discussion.”.The resolution also states that the newsletter, ‘SCBA Times’ will continue to be published..Read the resolution below.
