Over the last three years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students provide us with information on campus events and activities, as well as share legal articles.

This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.

In this edition, we speak with Vernit Tripathi, a fourth-year law student at the Bharati Vidyapeeth New Law College, Pune.

Why did you choose to study law?

As an avid newspaper reader, I was always fascinated by reading about the impact of law on society and one of the most interesting thing about law is, it is dynamic & keeps evolving with society. I chose law to contribute to the vitality and long history that this profession has always represented.

What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?

From the very of my law school journey, I was following Bar & Bench for every legal update and after following Bar & Bench consistently for several years, I have analyzed that its news & analysis include current legal developments in the legal world, cutting edge analysis of judgments, and interviews with eminent members of the legal fraternity.

One of the most important reasons I applied to be a Campus Ambassador was because I am a extrovert and love interacting with as many people as possible. What's better than the position of a Campus Ambassador at such a stellar organization, since through this I can interact with either different students from different law schools of the country as well as use this chance to actively contribute to the advancement of legal journalism and dissemination of timely and accurate legal information.

What are your plans after completing law?

After interning at many organisations and participating in many Moot Court Competitions, I would say at present I am highly interested in Constitutional & Civil law, however at the same time, I think law is an ocean and thus, one can't decide anything in the preliminary days.
