Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.

This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.

In this edition, we speak with Bhushan Arora, a second-year student at Campus Law Centre, Faculty of Law at University of Delhi.

Why did you choose to study law?

I graduated from Satyawati College, and during my 3rd year I decided to contest Students' Union election by the immense support of students I became Secretary of the union. Politics and Law has close nexus that made me to study law to understand the procedures and technicalities of administration.

I filed many RTIs, complaints and tried to bring transparency in the administration.

The only thing which acted as a warrior for me was "Rule of Law". I think Law is part and parcel of healthy democracy and it establishes democratic values at the grassroots. Eventually, I developed keen interest in law and decided to pursue Law.

What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?

Being a Campus Ambassador of Bar & Bench is a great honour for me. Bar & Bench is a renowned leading source of legal news, and publishes well researched, insightful and reliable content. It helps me to connect with legal fraternity.

It keeps me updated about every legal development and it also provides me the opportunity to represent my college before other Law colleges.

What are your plans after completing law?

It is the toughest question to answer for a law student because every field of law is full of adventures and learning. But, still I am inclined towards litigation. My dream is to become a criminal lawyer.
