The Central government has notified the appointment of seven lawyers as judges of Gujarat High Court.

The seven lawyers are:

1. Mauna Manish Bhatt

2. Samir Jyotindraprasad Dave

3. Hemant Maheshchandra Prachchhak

4. Sandeep Natvarlal Bhatt

5. Aniruddha Pradyumna Mayee

6. Niral Rashmikant Mehta, and

7. Nisha Mahendrabhai Thakore

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their names on September 29.

The Gujarat High Court is currently functioning with 25 judges while its sanctioned strength is 52 judges, a vacancy position of 27.
