This PIL challenges the Government’s decision to grant ten percent reservation to those in the General Category who belong to the economically weaker sections. A connected petition that challenges the implementation of this reservation in Medical Colleges in Maharashtra is being heard by the Vacation Bench.

The case pertains to appeals filed against the acquittal of all 17 accused in the 2G scam case.
