Two Additional Judges of the Jharkhand High Court made Permanent Judges [Read Notification]

The Central Government has cleared the appointment of two additional judges of the Jharkhand High Court as permanent judges of the High Court.

The two additional judges who have now been made permanent judges of the High Court are Justices Bimlendu Bhushan Mangalmurti and Anil Kumar Choudharu.

A notification issued to this effect states,

In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint (i). Shri Justice Bimlendu Bhushan Mangalmurti, and (ii) Shri Justice Anil Kumar Choudharu, Additional Judges of the Jharkhand High Court with effect from the date they assume charge of their respective office.

Both judges were appointed as additional judges to the Jharkhand High Court in May 2017. They were recommended for being made permanent judges by the Supreme Court Collegium earlier this month.
