She joined Karanjawala in 2001 and started practicing at the Supreme Court..Meghna practiced in the Supreme Court till about 2005 and then she had a short stint at the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) for about a year before moving to the Delhi High Court..Speaking to Bar & Bench Meghna said, “I have now primarily been practicing in the Delhi High Court for the last six years and have been handling litigation matters of varied nature including property and matrimonial disputes, intellectual property disputes, corporate and commercial matters”..Her list of clients includes Radio City, Brittania, Procter & Gamble, BPTP and several Tata companies..Meghna said, “The firm handles matters in other high courts as well. We are a full service litigation firm and we are not focused in any one area. Of course, Mr. Karanjawala has fantastic strategies always and he oversees it all. So that’s how we have grown and I hope to take this further”..Bar & Bench spoke to the Founding Partner Raian Karanjawala. Raian said, “We are essentially a litigating firm. My policy so far as making partners is concerned has always been on the conservative side. Normally, partnership in our firm is not a concomitant to the fact that the lawyer has been with the firm for so many years, so now he should be made a partner or the fact the lawyer is billing so much so he should be made a partner. It’s a whole amalgam of factors, which go into it”..Raian added, “Meghna showed both the talent and persistence and the patience to stay the course. Her partnership was in consideration for a reasonable amount of time and now she has become a partner”..This takes the total number of partners at the firm to 6. The Partners at the firm include two founding partners Raian Karanjawala and Manik Karanjawala, Nandini Gore, Ruby Singh Ahuja, Sandeep Kapur and now Meghna Mishra.
