The Election Committee has decided to hold the elections to the Executive Committee of Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on December 12..The SCBA announced its polling date along with a brief election programme and list of dates by a notice dated November 16..The provisional voters’ list has been published and displayed on the notice board and on the SCBA website..The publication of a provisional voters list will be followed by registering objections, if any, to this list and these objections will be decided by the Election Committee. The Election Committee will publish and display the final voter list thereafter..Nominations for various posts can be filed between November 28 and November 30 after which a draft list of candidates will be prepared..This list too will be open for the filing of objections and for withdrawal of candidature. The Election Committee will decide on the objections after receiving the same in writing from the persons raising them. The final list of candidates will be made public on December 4..One day ahead of polls, a debate for candidates for the post of President and Hony Secretary will be conducted in the Supreme Court Lawns with each candidate allotted five minutes time to speak.
