School of Law, Dhirubhai Ambani University (DAU) has launched its Executive Development Program (EDP) on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), Carbon Markets and Sustainability, an industry-academic collaboration aimed at preparing professionals for leadership in one of the most rapidly evolving sectors of the global economy.
Running from 20th September to 14th December 2025, the program brings together thought leadership from Axis Max Life Insurance, Varaha and Dhir & Dhir Associates combining academic rigour with real-world insights through a certified, immersive learning experience.
India’s carbon markets are on the cusp of transformative change. With the establishment of a national Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS) under the Energy Conservation (Amendment) Act, 2022, the government has laid the foundation for what could become the world’s largest regulated carbon market by 2030.
This surge in climate-focused regulation and finance demands a new generation of professionals who are well-versed in ESG frameworks, legally sound sustainability practices, and carbon market instruments.
As calls grow for robust digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems and verifiable climate action, the need for credible, cross-sector ESG education has never been more urgent.
