DNLU announces 2nd India Juris - DNLU National Moot Court Competition 2026 - Register now!

The Moot Court Committee, Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur has announced the 2nd edition of the India Juris - DNLU National Moot Court Competition 2026, scheduled to be held from November 20 to 22, 2026.

About the Event

The 2nd India Juris–DNLU National Moot Court Competition 2026 is a national-level moot court competition that brings together law students from across India. It provides participants with a realistic courtroom experience, enabling them to develop legal research, advocacy, drafting, argumentation, and communication skills.

Participants represent both sides of a legal dispute, prepare detailed memorials and oral submissions, and argue before a distinguished panel of legal practitioners, academics, and experts. The competition also promotes teamwork, professional networking, time management, and intellectual exchange, contributing to the development of competent and socially responsible future legal professionals.

Eligibility

• Open to students pursuing a 5-year integrated LL.B. or a 3-year LL.B. programme in India.

• Each institution may send a maximum of two teams.

• Team composition:

  a. 3-member team: Two speakers + One researcher

  b. 2-member team: Both participants must be speakers

Important Dates

• Provisional Registration: September 11, 2026

• Release of Moot Proposition: To be notified

• Last Date of Registration & Payment for Round-I: October 12, 2026

• Last Date of Seeking Clarifications: October 12, 2026

• Submission of Memorial (Soft Copy): October 30, 2026

• Memorial Qualification Result: November 5, 2026

• Round-II Registration & Payment Deadline: November 7, 2026

• Exchange of Memorials & Researcher’s Test: November 20, 2026

• Preliminary & Semi-Finals: November 21, 2026

• Final Round & Valedictory Ceremony: November 22, 2026

Prizes (Total Prize Pool: ₹1,10,000)

• Winners: ₹35,000

• Runners-Up: ₹25,000

• Best Memorial (Petitioner): ₹15,000

• Best Memorial (Respondent): ₹15,000

• Best Speaker: ₹10,000

• Best Researcher: ₹10,000

Registration Fee

Round-I (Memorial Qualification Round): ₹1000 per team

Round-II (Oral Rounds): ₹5000 per team (with & without accommodation)

Registration Process

1. Provisional Registration: Institutions must reserve their slot via their Moot Court Society by emailing mcc@mpdnlu.ac.in.

2. Round-I Registration: Upon confirmation, teams must complete the Google Form and pay ₹1000 before 12 October 2026.

3. Post-Qualification (Round II): The top 20 teams who qualify must complete registration and payment before 07 November 2026.
