About the LNAT-UK Test

The LNAT-UK is a globally benchmarked, standardised admissions test. This Test evaluates critical thinking and advanced English language and reading comprehension skills. It assesses your aptitude for legal studies rather than knowledge of specific legal subjects or rote memorization. You can go through the online LNAT-UK practice tests here

Test Format

A two-part test with the first part being multiple-choice questions based on 12 passages, and the second part being an essay.

Section A: The first part is a computer-based multiple-choice exam. You’ll be asked to read passages of text and answer questions that test your comprehension of them. Your scores from the multiple-choice section of the test are checked by computer, and a mark out of 42 is created. This is known as your LNAT score.

Section B: In the second part of the test, you will be asked to write one essay from a list of three proposed subjects.

Note: JGLS does not require or consider the essay part for its admissions. You don’t need to write an essay if you’re applying only to JGLS.
