Appearing for the petitioner, advocate Yogesh Kumar Gupta submitted that despite the complaint having been filed, the petitioner had received no information on any action taken.

He informed the Court that the Principal had forwarded the complaint to the Chairman and Secretary of the college's Education Committee on May 27, 2026.

He added that the Bar Council of India (BCI) mandates every college and university imparting legal education to establish a functioning Student Grievance Redressal Committee.

He contended that complaints of this nature are required to be inquired into and reported on by that committee, rather than by the Education Committee.

After recording the preliminary submissions, the Court issued notice returnable in four weeks.
