Kaziah Liz Mejo, a second-year student at Manipal Law School, Bengaluru, will represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico this November.

Manipal Law School, part of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in Bengaluru, felicitated Mejo this week.

Mejo, 19, was crowned Miss Universe India 2026 at the pageant's grand finale in Jaipur on August 23, beating 52 other contestants from across the country. The finale jury included Sushmita Sen, India's first Miss Universe titleholder, along with former Miss Universe India titleholders Urvashi Rautela and Celina Jaitly.

The 75th Miss Universe pageant will be held at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The National Costume Competition and preliminary round are set for November 21 and 22, with the final coronation on November 24.

Mejo is from Mavelikkara in Kerala's Alappuzha district and grew up largely in Abu Dhabi. She is the first contestant from Kerala to win the national Miss Universe India title. She had earlier been crowned Miss Universe Kerala 2026 and represented India at Miss Teen International 2025, where she finished first runner-up, after winning the Miss Teen Diva title in 2024.
