RPNLU signs MoU with BRICS Law Schools Consortium
Dr Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU), Prayagraj has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the BRICS Law Schools Consortium in Moscow, Russia on December 2, 2025.
Vice-Chancellor, RPNLU, Senior Prof (Dr) Usha Tandon signed the MoU to become one of the founding members of the consortium. The Consortium will explore and analyse legal systems of BRICS nations to uncover similarities and differences to identify key areas for potential cooperation.
The key objectives of the BRICS Law Schools Consortium include, but are not limited to, promoting academic mobility and cultural exchange, to expand academic research cooperation, to conduct joint training of professional international lawyers, and to provide legal support for regional development strategies.
Commenting on the occasion, Senior Prof (Dr) Usha Tandon said,
“The association with the BRICS Law Schools Consortium marks an important step in RPNLU’s commitment to globally engaged legal education and research. This collaboration will enable meaningful comparative legal scholarship, strengthen academic exchange, and prepare our students and faculty to contribute effectively to international legal discourse while remaining rooted in constitutional values and social responsibility.”
RPNLU has signed MoUs with Faculty of Law, University of Pretoria, National Law University Delhi, and Institute of Constitutional and Parliamentary Studies Delhi earlier this year.
