SCLML puts strong emphasis on practical training through trial advocacy competitions, moot court competitions, including national and international events and with a flagship event, RRU International Moot Court competition.
SCLML has a dedicated centre, RRU Centre for International Law for students interested in international law.
Internships: SCLML offers internships and placements opportunities to students at national and international institutions. Past internships and placements have included BPR&D, Trilegal, Sardar Patel Police Academy, I4C (MHA); placements at Tata Power, V Check Global, Infosys, and more.
Field exposure & expert lectures: Regular visits and sessions by organizations and practitioners such as NIA, NSE, and law firms. Previous eminent speakers include Padma Shri Prof Upendra Baxi, Legal Manager, NSEI, Dr Sibichen Mathew, IRS, Principal Director of Income Tax (Investigation), Prof Arvind Tiwari.
Pro Bono and Legal Aid Centre: Faculties and students conduct awareness programs in local schools and villages. Free legal services are provided to marginalized communities, giving students hands-on experience with real cases and social responsibility training.
