Applications now open for the KARM Law Fellowship 2024

The fellowship will support 24 aspiring women lawyers from underserved homes to pursue legal studies at Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi

The KARM Law Fellowship which is slated to launch in August 2024 will support 24 women to pursue the 3-year LL.B. program at Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi with financial aid and a holistic capacity building program

The KARM Law Fellow will be a young woman who has completed her UG studies, and demonstrated ambition/initiative through the pursuit of extracurricular/professional opportunities. She will come from a family whose annual family income is below 5LPA. Supporting documents and home visits will be needed to ascertain economic need.

The Fellowship will begin with its first cohort comprising 24 Fellows. The first legal professionals from this Fellowship will graduate in 2027.

The Fellowship is a reiteration of the KARM Trust’s commitment to enabling the financial independence of young Indian women from economically underserved homes. A powerful post-graduate degree that allows its holders to build careers across industry this is another definitive step that helps girls with dreams to become women with vision.

Fellowship components

1. Financial Aid: Tuition & exam fee, commute stipend, laptop & Delhi/Rental stipend

2. Personalised mentoring from practicing lawyers across diverse fields/sectors

3. Curated legal internships

4. Learning: English language & critical thinking classes, professional soft skill development

5. Pay it forward with law skills

Eligibility Criteria

1. Female candidates below the age of 24

2. Completed their graduation, or due to graduate this year

3. Has appeared for CUET LL.B. test in 2024 and is applying to CLC

4. Annual family income below 5 lakh rupees per anum

3. You will need to keep your CUET LL.B. Test result, your resume and your latest college transcript ready to upload.

4. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in July-August.

Final offers will be made in August.
