The Bar & Bench 6Q Survey: Why did you study law?

Bar & Bench

Law is quickly becoming one of the most sought after courses for those willing to look beyond engineering, medicine et al. And the advent of the national law universities – there now exist twenty of these across the country – has done much to build the allure of legal education.

So what are the reasons for choosing law?

How do 12th standard students, or even undergraduates, arrive at the decision to study the subject?

This six question survey attempts to answer precisely these questions. It is aimed at both current law students as well as those who have graduated and are practising law. Apart from this, we also look at how the fact that one has lawyers in the family affects one’s choice of career.
