The fifth edition of Concordat, IFIM Law School's annual Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) festival, wrapped up on May 10 after three days of competition in Client Counselling, Negotiation, Mediation, and Arbitration.
The fest, themed around Space and Aviation Law, drew participants from law schools across the country. The competition format shifted in the latter half - Client Counselling advancing into Negotiation, and Mediation into Arbitration.
The Mediation and Arbitration competition was won by Harsh Ponnappa C, Riddhi Raheja, and Devansh Desai of JGLS. The team also secured all major individual honours. Harsh Ponnappa C won the Best Counsel award, Riddhi Raheja won the Best Client award and Devansh Desai won the Best Mediator award. The team also won the Best Arbitration Memorial award. Sankirthana A, Srishti N M, and Shreesha Hegde of People's Education Society (PES) University were runners-up.
In the Client Counselling and Negotiation competition, Adithya A Talreja and Karlo Cruz of National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) took the top spot, also picking up Best Counsel honours.
Nikhil Naveen Raju and Heysha Zaveri of Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) were runners-up. Karthik Vijayanand and Diksha Sharma of Christ (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru, earned the Best Strategy Paper award.
