Dr Nachiketa Mittal has been appointed as the Director of Admissions at National Law University Tripura, Agartala. Dr Mittal is also a part of the NLU's Founding Faculty.

Dr Mittal is a 2006 graduate of the University of Pune. He earned his LLM in Human Rights from National Law School of India University in 2008. He completed his PhD (in Law) from NLU Odisha in the field of Access to Justice for the Rural and the sustainability of Gram Nyayalaya model.

A Professor of Law with experience of a decade, Dr Mittal has been teaching in National and International institutions. He has been associated with multiple NLUs namely NLU Odisha, NUSRL Ranchi and NLIU Bhopal. He has delivered lectures as a Visiting Faculty across a multitude of institutions. He is also the Founder and Director of the Virtual Law School.

In 2023, Dr Mittal launched a research project, ChatGPT AI and Legal Education Community, to examine the growing implications of ChatGPT and similar AIs in legal research and over all teaching and learning aspects in Indian law schools.

At NLU Tripura, Dr Mittal will be supervising admissions for BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD programs. Additionally, he is also a part of the University's Founding faculty and will be taking on the role of a Professor of Law.
