The Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) at Visakhapatnam is all set to move into its new campus in Sabbavaram at the end of this month.

The development was confirmed by Vice-Chancellor (In Charge) Prof V Kesava Rao, who was appointed in June last year.

Speaking to Bar & Bench, he said,

“We will be starting classes on the new campus from January 30, when the students come back from their internship vacation.”

Among the facilities on the new campus will be separate hostels for boys and girls, an academic block with eleven classrooms, a 7,500 sq. ft. library and a 3,500 sq. ft. moot court hall, as well as a canteen and a mess.

Prof Rao said,

“We are also providing some basic sporting facilities. Phase I of the campus is complete. Phase II will commence once we get into the campus.”

This is a significant development for the university established in 2008, which has been operating out of a rented building in a residential area of the city, with little or no facilities to speak of.
