Faculty of Law, Lucknow University adjudged runners-up in 6th SLS, Hyderabad National Moot Court Competition

The winning team comprised of Rishabh Anand, Himashri Yadav, and Huzaifa Shaikh.

Faculty of Law, Lucknow University was adjudged as runners up of 6th Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad National Moot Court Competition, 2022 held virtually from March 18 -March 20.

The team was represented by Himashri Yadav, Huzaifa Shaikh and Rishabh Anand.

The moot problem was based on Constitutional law along with Draft Data Protection Bill, Information Technology Act, 2000 and IT Rules, 2021.

While speaking to Campus Ambassador, Himashri Yadav, exclaimed "The judges of Competition were experts. It was great being tested for knowledge by such luminaries of legal field."

Commenting upon the strategy of their team she said,"summarizing the contentions in crisp and clear way is really important as it helps a lot in presenting arguments clearly."

Huzaifa Shaikh added, "Time management was major problem being faced in preliminary rounds which got tackled with the strategy of summarizing contentions."

"The plagiarism limit was restricted to a very limited percentage by the organizers which was the best part," he added.

Rishabh Anand said, "The most important strategy to be kept in mind is that law should not be read in isolation rather intra linking and inter linking of it with given facts is utmost important task. If this is kept in mind path becomes much clear."
