Jindal Global Law School (JGLS), will be hosting a virtual guest lecture on the topic, 'Recovery of debts by Financial Institutions - A journey from RDDB Act to IBC' on 16th August 2021.

JGLS is committed to providing global legal education to its students. To fulfill this objective, the curriculum and pedagogy is designed to give extensive exposure to students to domestic, international and comparative law courses.

Abstract

Recovery of debts due to Banks and financial institutions has always been at the forefront or focus of many laws in India. This lecture will briefly cover that journey from RDDB Act to IBC and how with times various laws have evolved to help banks and financial institutions to recover their debts without compromising on the going-concern status of a corporate debtor. In one word, it's a journey from 'debtor in possession' to 'creditor in control'.
