Bar & Bench

Over the last two years, we have built a network of Campus Ambassadors across more than fifty law schools all over India. These law students have been providing us with information on campus events and activities, and also sharing legal articles.

This series of interviews is meant to turn the spotlight on these hardworking and dedicated individuals.

In this edition, we speak with Anadi Tewari, third -year student at the Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow.

Why did you choose to study law?

The road to study law came to light when I was in Class X, going to Court with my father and observing him in his chamber, sweating and reading continuously.

It fascinated me a lot and that interest gradually developed for this field.

Moreover, being the eldest son in the family the moral obligation to continue my grandfather and father's legacy was vested upon me. And here I am, a 3rd year law student at Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow.

What made you apply for the Campus Ambassador post at Bar & Bench?

I am a constant reader of all the legal news from the application of Bar & Bench. I was always fascinated with how the premium legal portals like Bar & Bench work, updating news tend to attract me a lot.

And while going through the news on the website, I saw this opportunity and applied out of curiosity to gain exposure and experience to work alongside the top legal portal.

What are your plans after completing law?

I planned to pursue my masters from a top University but taking note of the recent decisions by the Bar Council of India, the plans may change. Other than that, I always had a spark of serving in the defense forces, if not on the ground level, then by being in the Judge Advocate General (JAG).
