Lloyd Law College wins South Asia Regionals of the FDI International Arbitration Moot

Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida emerged as winners of the South Asian Regional Rounds of the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot, 2022.

The preliminary rounds of the competition were held from 19 August, 2022 to 21 August, 2022 and the advanced rounds (eliminations round) were conducted from 26 August, 2022 to 28 August, 2022 virtually.

The team comprised of final year B.A.LL.B Students Sarthak Raj & Yashwant Sanjenbam and second year B.A.LL.B student Ayushika Mishra.

Yashwant Sanjenbam was also awarded the best speaker in the finals.

The team was coached by Ziad Salloum, Partner, Salloum & Partners LLC, UAE.

The finals took place between Lloyd Law College and the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Patiala (RGNUL). As a winner, team Lloyd Law has directly proceeded to the Global Rounds of FDI Moot set to take place at King’s College London from 3 November, 2022 to 6 November, 2022 along with three other Indian teams.

The FDI moot is a competition on investment arbitration organized by the Centre for Legal Studies (CILS) in Austria with support from US law firm Skadden, Suffolk University Law School (Boston), Pepperdine University Law School, and the German Institution of Arbitration and the Centre of European Law at King’s College London.
