NALSAR wins regional rounds of Monroe E Price Moot 2025-26

NLIU Bhopal emerged as the runners-up.

A team from National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad has won the South Asia regional rounds of the Monroe E Price International Moot Court Competition, 2025-2026.

The team comprised Priyasha Pattnaik, Saundarya D Nair, Shriya S and Lakshya Goyal. Saundarya D Nair also won the Best Oralist award in the finals.

The team from National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU) emerged as Runners-up and comprised of Harris Ahmad, Kanishk Goyal, Pranav Goel, Shubh Agarwal, Prithvika S and Vibodh Singh.

The team from West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS) won the Best Memorial award.

This year’s moot problem dealt with issues such as surveillance, protection of journalistic sources, whistle-blower safeguards, and the balance between national security and international human rights obligations.
