Nirma University wins 3rd Justice Hidayatullah International Moot

The competition witnessed participation from 46 teams across the country.

A team from The Institute of Law, Nirma University has won the 3rd Justice Hidayatullah International Moot Court Competition (HIMCC), 2026 hosted by Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) from March 13-15, 2026.

The winning team comprised Kirti Kasat, Sarthak Gupta and Harshita Singh.

The runners-up team from National Law University, Odisha (NLUO) comprised Kumkum Banthia, Siya Ganatra and Anagha Ramachandran. Siya Ganatra also won the Best Speaker award.

National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar won the Best Memorial award.

Karnavati University, Kanishk Gupta won the Best Researcher award.

The moot proposition focused on issues of energy law and climate governance. The moot problem was drafted by HNLU Visiting Faculty and Founder of Manu Associates, Prof R Muralidharan.
