NLSIU wins India rounds of 30th Stetson International Environment Moot

A team from National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore has won the India rounds of the 30th Stetson International Environment Moot Court Competition, 2026 hosted by Surana & Surana International Attorneys India at the School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore.

The team comprised Gaurav Aswani, Shashwat Shankar and Kedar Manoj Ammanji. Gaurav Aswani also won Best Speaker of the final rounds.

The runners-up team from NALSAR, Hyderabad included Hamzah, Prahlad Nimalan and Farhan Mohamad.

This year’s moot problem dealt with prior informed consent, benefit sharing in the context of genetic resources, de-extinction, and commercial activitiy under the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), and the Nagoya Protocol.
