RGNUL wins NUJS-HSF Kramer National Corporate Law Moot 2026

NLUJ emerged as the runners-up.

A team from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law has won the 18th National University of Juridical Science (NUJS)-Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) Kramer National Corporate Law Moot Court Competition, 2026.

The team comprised Kanupriya Sharma, Siddhi Jain and Yashika Gidwani.

The team from National Law University Jodhpur (NLUJ) comprising Tanishi Ahuja, Ashna Vashist and Pari Gupta emerged as the runners-up.

Kamal Nambiar from National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) won the Best Speaker award.

National Law University, Odisha (NLUO) won the Best Memorial (Appellants) award.

Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow won the Best Memorial (Respondents) award.

This year, participants dealt with issues of delayed disclosure of price-sensitive information, insider trading driven by algorithmic decision-making and allegations of greenwashing in sustainability reporting.

The finals round were presided over by Calcutta High Court Justice Ananya Bandhopadhayay, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore Prof Umakanth Varottil, HSF Senior Associate Jeet Shroff, Attorney at Phillip Morris International Joyjyoti Misra and Khaitan & Co Partner Nikhil Jhunjhunwala.

The moot problem was drafted by Prof Umakanth Varotill.
