RPNLU wins University of North Bengal Moot Court Competition 2025

This year's moot problem involved questions pertaining to custodial rights, access to counsel, and the permissible limits of police interrogation.

A team from Dr Rajendra Prasad National Law University (RPNLU), Prayagraj has won the National Moot Court Competition 2025 hosted by the Department of Law, University of North Bengal, Darjeeling on December 11-12, 2025.

The winning team from RPNLU comprised Srijal Mishra, Abhyuday Sharan, and Abhishek Raj. Srijal Mishra was also awarded the Best Speaker award.

Indian Institute of Legal Studies, Dagapur, Siliguri were the runners-up; the team comprised Piyush Mani Tripathi, Surabhi Chettri, and Chandan Sha.

This year's moot problem involved constitutional and criminal law questions pertaining to custodial rights, access to counsel, and the permissible limits of police interrogation.
