WBNUJS Kolkata wins Vidhi Pragati national IP moot

The Vidhi Pragati National IP Moot Court 2025 was organized from 7-9 February 2025.

West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS), Kolkata won the Vidhi Pragati: National IP Moot Court Competition 2025 as well as the Best Speaker prize.

The team from National Law University, Jodhpur was declared first runner-up. The Best Memorial prize was awarded to National Law School India University (NLSIU), Bangalore. The Best Researcher was from the Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur team.

The Centre for Innovation, Intellectual Property, and Competition (CIIPC) - IPR Chair, National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) in collaboration with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), organised the moot.

The theme of the moot court problem revolved around Artificial Intelligence and Copyright. The moot proposition and bench memorial were drafted by Ankit Sahni and Akanksha Dutta.
