NLIU team wins MMCS International Maritime Arbitration Competition 2026 in Maldives

A team of four students from the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal has won the Maldives Moot Court Society (MMCS) International Maritime Arbitration Competition (MIMAC) 2026.

The team comprised Manan Budhiraja, Soumil Srivastava, Rohini Garg and Tanishka Sinha. The competition was held in the Maldives and drew teams from several countries.

MIMAC is organised by the Maldives Moot Court Society. Teams are required to draft written submissions as both Claimant and Respondent, followed by oral arguments before a panel of arbitrators and academics. The winning team receives a cash prize of $1,000, along with internships and certificates.

The NLIU Bhopal team acknowledged the contribution of Rahul Mishra, who provided guidance and support throughout their preparation.
