The Centre for Sports Law and Athlete Welfare (CSLAW), School of Law, SGT University has announced its Certificate Course on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Sports Law.
The course is designed to bridge the gap between sports and dispute resolution via ADR mechanisms.
About the Course
Spanning four weekends (16 hours) and structured into four thematic modules, this practitioner-oriented programme takes participants on a journey from the domestic framework for sports disputes in India to the highest echelons of international arbitration at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne. Delivered entirely online via Zoom, it brings together a carefully curated panel of national and international experts, including a listed CAS arbitrator, to ensure that participants receive both rigorous legal grounding and real-world practical insight.
About the Centre for Sports Law and Athlete Welfare (CSLAW)
Under the patronage of Prof.(Dr.) Richa Chaudhary, Dean, School of Law, SGT University, CSLAW, is quickly establishing itself as one of India's focused institutional voices in sports law scholarship and practice. The Centre operates under the leadership of its Director, Udiksha Rana, Assistant Professor, School of Law, SGT University, and Team Member of the UNESCO Chair for Legal Dimensions of Clean Sports, NLU Delhi, and Rashmi Giri, Assistant Director, CSLAW, and Assistant Professor at the School of Law, SGT University.
Established in 2026, CSLAW is dedicated to advancing scholarship, research, and engagement at the intersection of law and sport, encompassing sports governance, dispute resolution, athlete welfare, anti-doping regulation, sports integrity, and safe sport frameworks. Through seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and collaborative research, it aims to actively bridges the gap between academic inquiry and professional practice.
