JGLS bag multiple wins at 7th NLS Negotiation Mediation and Client Counselling Competition
The seventh edition of the National Law School Negotiation Mediation & Client Counselling competition saw a number of wins by Jindal Global Law School.
NLS NMC is the perfect opportunity to enable students who are passionate in ADR to hone their talent, connect with other students, lawyers or ADR experts from across the world and have the most memorable and enjoyable experience by participating in a global event that adheres to the highest standards.
The law school's team of Rusha Ghosh Dastidar and Stuti Garg was declared winners of the Negotiation segment of the competition. This segment segment of the competition which hosted around 24 teams and 5 challenging rounds.
Speaking to Apprentice Lawyer, the winning team said that, "Winning the competition is one of the biggest moments of our law school journey, with Jindal Global Law School emerging as winners for the first time in this negotiation competition. We are proud to be a part of this legacy and look forward to representing India at the International Negotiation Competition hosted by the National University of Singapore."
The team also wanted to thank their coach Mohit Mokal as well as the ADR Society of JGLS and the team's supporters.
JGLS was also the winner of the Mediation (Client-Attorney) segment with a team consisting of Aditya Krishna, Rebecca Cardoso, Jayant Suri, and Parshva Chandok. Aditya and Rebecca were the oralists for all the rounds and obtained the highest overall score in the preliminary rounds.
Speaking to Apprentice Lawyer, the team said, "We are extremely proud to win this competition and take great pleasure in congratulating the team and the coaches for their outstanding performance, dedication and passion."
Apart from the ADR society, the team also wanted to thank their official coach, Kaainat Pundir as well as JGLS alum Mohit Mokal.
Another team from JGLS consisting of Arya Deshmukh and Riddhiraj Sehgal made it to the semi-finals of the Mediator sub-segment of the competition.
