Moot Court: Twelfth Indian Vis Pre-Moot by Jindal Global University (Register by 5 Jan)

Bar & Bench

The Willem C. Vis Moot is one of the greatest and most awaited events of the international arbitral calendar, taking place each year in both Hong Kong and Vienna.

The Moot is organized by the Association for the Organization and Promotion of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (Verein zur Veranstaltung und Förderung des Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot).

Jindal Global University has been hosting the Indian Vis Pre-Moot since its 7th edition in 2017. The Pre-moot will be on the same problem as the main moot and is used by teams as a testing ground before the real moot. Pre-moots open a world of possibilities and enhance performance. They become an extremely essential platform for teams to learn and develop new styles and strategies from their counterparts.

About the Moot

The purpose of the Vis Moot is to foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration and provide a practical training to students for resolving international business disputes. The business community’s marked preference for resolving international commercial disputes by arbitration is the reason this method of dispute resolution was selected as the clinical tool to train law students.

This year, the Indian Vis Pre-Moot will be held on 26th and 27th February 2022. To ensure the safety of all participants, the Pre-Moot shall be held virtually.

The registration for the 12th Indian Vis Pre-Moot will be open from December 25th, 12:00 AM IST to January 5th, 11:59 PM IST. The slots will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. We are looking forward to your participation.
